Algae Analyzers
Overview
- Abnormal water quality issues are increasing in the water source recently due to climate changes
- Issues include taste/odor issues caused by harmful blue-green algae or filter blockage due to diatoms
- Real-time algae monitoring system that detects abnormal water quality in the water source early and respond in advance is needed
- Algae monitoring device that can supplement the existing microscope counting (Water Pollution Process Test Criteria, ES 04705. 1b) is needed

Principles
of analysis
- Taking continuous shots of microalgae in water using optical lens and hi-resolution CMOS camera and extracting images of individual algae through image processing
- Comparing the algae with the database according to its morphological characteristics to determine its species and analyzing the cell count
- Differentiating specifications between species through deep learning-based learning
Equipment
features
- Real-time continuous monitoring using preprocessing and automatic specimen injection device
- Prompt analysis compared to microscope counting
- Automated process from specimen injection using preprocessing device to result acquisition and cleaning
- Accurate data available regardless of the proficiency of the analyzer
- Database update available on new species or algae species of interest
